EVERYDAY WE MAKE IT
EVERYDAY WE MAKE MUSIC: feat. Mon Khmer

May 08, 2012

The Mon Khmer languages are a language family of South East Asia. Mon Khmer is also one of Downtown New York's favorite new bands. Their sound is pulsating avant garde new wave that provides equal parts tranced out bliss and musical chaos theory. Live they are mesmerizing and we've never walked out of the club before the set was over. We like them a lot. Check them out online here, here & here.

EVERYDAY WE MAKE MUSIC: Earth Day.

April 16, 2012

Seeing how this Sunday is Earth Day we wanted to celebrate our planet, what better way to do that than with the fine tune 'I just want to Celebrate' by Rare Earth. The band that Motown named it's Rare Earth record label after.

Check out Sonny & Cher covering it too. Those outfits.

Here are some other Earth related tunes we enjoy:

The Rolling Stones, Salt of the Earth

The Feelies, On The Roof (From the album 'The Good Earth')

The Misfits, Earth A.D.

Gayngz, The Last Prom on Earth.
